Rewrite yourself

You are NOT who you think you are. You are who you think people think you are.

Read that again. Slowly.

We remain far from experiencing our true selves due to beliefs imprinted by social conditioning, childhood trauma and the environment we live in.

It is very simple to notice. Have you truly asked yourself what you really want to do in life? Not what people tell you or want you to do. But really, what you want to do. Who you want to become.

Or are you following a mold? There is actually nothing wrong with following a mold. What is wrong (and I should not say wrong, as it is not your fault) is not being aware you are doing it.

Your brain is a very complicated piece of machinery, formed by neural connections that can be simulated through neural networks and pattern recognition in the field of machine learning. For example, let’s say you are a baby learning how to walk. As this action is new to your brain, it takes as many external variables from the environment as it is able to. Your brain is working full-time to ensure you survive, it acts with its full capacity and awareness. After a few weeks your brain ‘learned’ and you are able to walk almost unconsciously, without any effort. Just like magic when you really think about it.

At the beginning, your brain takes information of the environment and comes up with a script (think of it as a code in computer programming) and runs it every time you need it. It becomes more efficient and uses less energy.

Your beautiful brain learns new things, creates a script and keeps running the scripts when needed.

The same way, the story you tell yourself about who you think you are is just about scripts running in your brain. Who you think you are is a script your brain has written for you.

Wake up from that script and realize you are able to rewrite it yourself.

Go out there and rewrite yourself.
